Lesson Review
Some students had issues with their login details, so it took a bit of time to get everyone on to a chromebook.
There were also some issues with their logins for IXL, students were slow to troubleshoot and try to solve this issue themselves, so I spent a lot of time logging individuals in
I had preset questions for the students to answer, I decided against this on the first day due totiming issues. I asked the students to pick a topic and answer questions in there that they liked
Every student did get logged in and working, I was able to display their classroom activity and they enjoyed that, seeing their score increase
I had anticipated fewer login issues, be prepared for that to take more time than you have planned.
I had also set questions which were not needed for the first time this was used with the class. The element of competition is powerful with my first years, the promise of a prize seems to work well as a form of encouragement
